I am haunted in this holiday season by the opening lines of Charles Dickens’s A Tale of Two Cities, his novel about a society 250 years ago coming apart in its seemingly irreconcilable divisions. Could it be these lines define where we have come to find ourselves today?

Call for Collaborative Poets!
In May of this year, I put together a giant collaboration with 18 poets to write a poem showing support for hopeburnsblue (https://www.deviantart.com/hopeburnsblue). The poem showed her the community was behind and with her no matter what, and the poem itself turned out to be a huge success due to how it was written, edited, and put together by each individual, which involved a great deal of trust from all involved. Not everything went off without a hitch, and a lot of improvising happened, but it all came together.
I've been wanting to do another collaborative effort since, but as an organizer, compiler, editor, writer and some kind of leader of the original collaborative poem, it
